Edit; Black Milk

Ay fellas.

Do you know how much thought went in this “ay”? I think I’ve been quite descriptive of my difficulty to find different ways to say “hello pals”. And I’m a cheater – I always take time off of the blog, cheating on my readers, so I always have to return to the crime scene with some briliant joke or excuse to make you forget of my nasty ways.

This is so bad…

Okay now I’m uncomfortable with my very self, so let’s move on to something sunnier, shall we?

Anyways, I’ve decided to call this post an edit, as it’s pretty static so let’s pretend it’s something like an editorial even if it’s not.

Lately I’ve been obsessed with the whole suit thing – beware, you’re about to see a huge load of them on Tres Violette.

I’ve also been really into wearing dresses as tops and I think it’s a great way for me to equalize them to skirts. I’ve always avoided investing in dresses because it’s always easier to make countless combinations with a skirt and just about anything on top. Dresses on the other hand have always been quite questionable to me, so I think this kind of styling is a good chance for me to dump all excuses.

I went total black except for the shoes and my vintage sunnies.

The dress is faux leather and definitely looks chic worn by alone as well (just don’t go dancing in that thing oh my god). The trousers are straight and of regular length, so I can assure you that they make all kinds of bodies look taller. This is also the secret behind this very outfit – the dress is high waisted and the length of it could make your legs appear shorter if not paired with the right jeans or trousers. Go for a regular or long length, unless of course you pick a pair leggings to work with.

This outfit couldn’t work this well with any other kind of shoe other than a pair of sock boots or pointy stilettos. Similarly, everything else had to be austere but also statement material. I pulled my hair back in a simple sleek do and I went for three kinds of earrings to make it louder – yes, the cream one on my left ear is actually a pair of two.
