My 2017 Best Keeps, pt.2

Better late than never, people say, and today I’m going to roll with them people.

Therefore, as promised a while ago, today I’m presenting you with my 3-favorite outfit picks out of 2017!

*crowd clapping*

I picked clothes suitable for a colder weather and each garment or pair of shoes used has been picked among the others as they’ve been – one by one – favorited throughout the year.

Hope you enjoy and get ispired!

  • The Matrix Over Skinnies

I’ve been really into this dress. Whether worn as a dress for a night out or over trousers for a more casual thing, it’s been my last-minute solution so many times. Here I pared it with my fav skinnies (you don’t see do the skinny often haha), my ASOS car-seat belt and my equally favorite sock boots and oversized coat. Man, I love this coat. Never spent a day without changing into it ever since I got it. I accessorized with a chunky chain bracelet and there I go.

  • Check Trousers w/ Some Western Edit

I’ve been crazy over the check print for a while now, and you can tell by the fact I used two pairs of trousers of the kind for this very post only. This outfit has been my go-to for class and other casual happenings – a classic turtleneck, a vintage cropped denim shirt in an otherwise slightly oversized fit and my beloved patent leather western boots.

  • Shoulder Pads and Pointy Knives

Shoulder pads do something to me. Any clothing that boldly intensifies the human figure does something to me tbh. Here, I chose another pair of checked trousers paired with two other patterns; polka dots (top) and stripes (blazer). You wouldn’t notice it so easily and maybe that’s the reason why it all sticks so good, along with the fact that they’re all part of the same palette (blue/black/grey). The top is quite romantic on its own, but, when paired with some more masculine blazer and trousers, it creates a really nice harmony. I accessorized with somewhat humble cay-eye sunnies (so very funny), some pearl earrings and my lovely Mockberg watch. Lastly, my pointed stiletto boots are also strict yet feminine, so, again, you get to wind up with a good balance.
