I kept wondering if I have gotten to feel less ecstatic season by season. I thought “maybe I’m being too harsh, I mean, what am I expecting to see?”.
And then, it happened. Marc Jacobs’ designs made me gasp in sight.
In the past few seasons, designer Rira Sugawara has evolved a really refreshing signature style based on artistic collages. It’s been a while since fashion month began and ended but I just recently had the time to sit and actually watch plus observe each show. There were colors and so much diversity whether in lines or textures or styles or just anything. I loved the contrast between the romantic and the darker pieces each house showed and I especially loved how they sometimes relied on both. This season’s Ready-to-Wear designs hardly took me by surprise though. Don’t get me wrong, I did appreciate and love every single show just as much as any other I’ve ever loved. But most of the things I saw I kind of expected. Anyway, here are some short reviews on my favorite runway moments from the FW16/17 season.
